4.6.0 Release Notes

Introduction

In Release 4.6.0, we introduce the following enhancements.

Supplier Capabilities download

We now have an option to download Supplier capabilities in Pdf or Excel. 

A user can choose to download their own view of the Supplier's capabilities or Supplier's view of the Supplier's capabilities if the supplier has shared with you its view or is being shared publically. Also, there is a possibility of selecting a standard or Extended profile.

For Example, in the below image, we see that Validaide Forward is downloading their view of the extended profile of a supplier company named Validaide Trucking.

Location Download

We have further enhanced the functionality for Location Download in PDF and Excel. A user can choose to download the standard or extended profile of location capabilities. Also, the user can choose between all available views of location capabilities, i.e., their own view or any other view available (public or shared).

Review Cycle for Company Profile

With Release 4.6.0, we introduce Review Cycle.

A Review Cycle will serve as a checkpoint to ensure that the defined company capabilities correctly represent its current capabilities. This ensures that the capabilities are updated and not stale. It is an opportunity for data providers, through triggers, to timely update their data. 

An authorized user can define a Revision Period. The user can select a revision period between 6 to 24 months; the default is 12 months.

One month before the defined revision period is reached, the status of the company capabilities changes to "About to Expire" from the "Reviewed" state. At the end of the revision period, the state automatically changes from "about to Expire" to "Expired" State. The authorized user gets a task and a notification that the company capabilities need to be updated.

Please note that the "Expired" state does not mean that the data is unavailable; it means there is a possibility it might not be up to date. Hence, if a company's expired data is used in a Lane or SOP,  the data will be available in green but with a warning. This is only visible in the configuration screen.

Warehouse Steps

With this release, a user can further have the flexibility to modify warehouse steps.

• It is possible to edit the duration and select the ambient environment of the cargo of each phase in the warehouse step.

• Also, it is now possible to add a new warehouse phase by clicking on Warehouse activity. A user can choose from a new warehouse activity dropdown or describe the warehouse activity in a free text field.

If you select other, you can add the free-text field to describe warehouse activity.

• A user has been given the flexibility of removing the added warehouse activity.

Packaging Types update

We have further defined Active Container Packaging Type. You can now choose between  Electro-Active Containers and dry Ice-Active Containers.

If a user selects either one of these active container packaging types, the capabilities of handling that type of Active Container capabilities at a GHA station can be seen on Lane Timeplan.

You can also define the size of the container (RAP/RKN).

UI/ UX of Duration Form is updated.

We continuously aim to improve the design and experience of the Validaide application. The duration form is updated to include proper labeling.

Technical maintenance

With this release, we discontinued using DarkSky and switched to VisualCrossing for weather updates. This change was required because the DarkSky service is being discontinued starting January 1st 2022.

Bug Fixes

• A user encountered an error while creating a Lane/ SOP with approval workflow with a duration  less than six months. This has been fixed. Now user gets a warning that the user is trying to create a Lane/ SOP with a revision period out of range - less than six months or more than 120 months
• When a user tried to copy an SOP with more than one revision, the copied SOP started at a different revision number instead of One. This has been fixed. Now the Copied SOP resets to one.
• While creating Ocean Lanes, after pressing create, the packaging types available were displayed incorrectly. This has been fixed.
• An error occurred in the welcome dialog if a user did not enter their first name or family name. This has been fixed.
• A system administrator could not check a company's workflow state by clicking on a selected company type on the Dashboard. This has been fixed.
• For a road step with multiple phases, e.g., Border Crossing and Ferry Crossing, an exception occurred if border crossing was removed. This has been fixed. Now removing border crossing does not throw an exception.
