1. Sustainability Module Enhancements
- The Sustainability module is not available to manufacturers on the Basic access plan, and is available for all forwarders.
- New "Sustainability Summary" Card in Lane Overview Tab - A new widget titled Sustainability Summary has been added to the “Lane Overview” tab. This card provides a high-level overview of the sustainability score, total emissions, and a breakdown of emissions by transport mode.
- On the Sustainability tab:
Users must select defined packaging options. Manual packaging selection is not supported.
- When defined packaging is selected, a message “Sustainability data being calculated” will appear. No notification is sent once the data is ready - the user must refresh or revisit the tab after 10 seconds to 5 minutes to view the results.
Cases when a sustainability report cannot be generated:
-
No transit steps in the lane - The Sustainability tab will not have data and will not be clickable if there are no transit steps configured for the lane.
- Packaging with only external volume defined, but no internal volume defined - Even if the lane includes transit steps, sustainability calculations cannot be performed when the internal volume of the packaging is not defined. Internal volume is required by SkyCell to generate sustainability results. The system will show the message: “Cubic meter should be between 0.001 and 50 inclusive.” This is the most likely scenario post-release, as many existing packaging entries do not have internal volume defined. This field was not mandatory before this update.
2. New tCO₂ Emissions Value Added to Packaging
- A tCO₂ emissions value is now available for packaging managed by Manufacturers and Packaging Companies. This value represents the CO₂ emissions associated with the packaging product across a standard air-freight lane adjusted for the product’s reusability and normalized per cubic meter of volume.
- For Packaging Manufacturers – A tCO₂ emissions value is displayed under My Packaging page and Packaging Solution Overview tab.
3. Updated warning label for single-use packaging
- For packaging manufacturers, when adding single-use packaging, the packaging overview screen is now clearly indicated with a warning sign if required data is missing. We previously introduced a sustainability baseline for packaging manufacturers, but single-use packaging was missing a warning when material data wasn’t provided. Since this data is needed to calculate sustainability metrics, we have now added a warning label to alert users when information is incomplete.
4. Business Model Setup for Packaging Manufacturers
- To better reflect operational differences across packaging types, a new “Business Model” field has been introduced.
- When Packaging Manufacturers are creating a packaging group, they are required to select a business model in the General tab.
A new column, "Business Model", has been added under My Packaging. This enhancement helps distinguish between different logistics processes associated with packaging:
- Rental typically applies to multi-use packaging that involves reverse logistics.
- Purchase is usually associated with single-use packaging.
By capturing this information, we ensure more accurate modeling of packaging operations and their impact on lane assessments.
- This information is shown in the Packaging Overview tab under Details.
5. Automated User Suspension Feature for tenant administrators
- Available in the administration dashboard under Tenant Configuration > Settings, in the “Users” tab. Tenant administrators can set up the inactivity period after which users will be automatically suspended. The inactivity period refers to how long a user has not logged into the platform. It can be configured to 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. If the user has roles/tasks assigned, they will not be suspended, despite the enabled automated user suspension.
- Activity Log for Automatic System Suspension (for Tenant Administrators) - When users are automatically suspended due to inactivity, this action will now be recorded in the Activity Log. The reason will be shown as: “Suspended due to inactivity.”
6. New Activity Logs
- User activity logs cover both tenant administrator and user activities. The information is visible to tenant administrators in the Administration menu under “Activity Log”.
New activities include:
- "User Initiated Password Reset" – Logged when a user requests a password reset.
- “User Password Reset Success” – Logged when a user successfully resets their password.
- “User Password Reset Failure” – Logged when a password reset attempt fails. The reason for failure is recorded in the Details field.
-
Other logged activities: "User Suspended", "User Unsuspended", "User Creation", "Login Failure" – Logged when login attempts cannot be linked to an existing user account (e.g. due to an incorrect or non-existent email address).
7. Customizable Route Evaluation Module
- Users can customize the Route Evaluation module by enabling or disabling the Contacts and Processes tabs in the newly added settings section. To access this setting, go to the SOPs in the left-hand side menu, open the Route Evaluation SOP, and navigate to the Configuration tab.
- Default setting - Processes tab enabled, Contacts tab disabled.
8. SOP Enhancement
- Forwarders are now able to categorize their lanes in the SOPs shared by a manufacturer. Lane categorization functionality is under the SOP Configuration tab in the Lanes section.
9. Premium Company indicator for Manufacturers, Air Carriers, and Packaging Manufacturers
- A blue checkmark indicator has been added to differentiate premium from basic companies. Users can see when a manufacturer, air carrier, or packaging manufacturer is a premium company. This indicator is visible in: Lane Overview, Configuration page, Lane PDF export, Market Info, My Company, etc.
10. Additional Pick-Up and Drop-Off Sub-Steps Added to a Lane Road Step
- When selecting the pickup/drop off option, the popup window includes General information (Duration and Description) and Location tabs.
- Each pick-up and drop-off sub-step is always followed by a Road transport sub-step.
- It is possible to add up to 25 pick-up and drop-off sub-steps.
- These sub-steps are reflected in the Lane PDF and JSON file downloads.
11. Email Domain Whitelist Location Update
- The Email Domain Whitelist setting has been moved to the “Settings” tab under Tenant Configuration in the administrator dashboard.
Bug Fixes:
- When modifying contact information in the Configuration page of a location, under the Map tab, the map is not loading and the system gives a message of “Invalid coordinates provided”. This was fixed, and the map is loading now.
- When you navigate to the temperature graph tab of a lane, the virtual logger pop up message when hovering above the Predicted Ambient Temperature for July, has an indication that the temperature shown is from January. This was fixed.
- When navigating inside a lane that has no assessment module enabled, there is an indication that the Country Risk Score outdated and the Refresh lane button is visible to the user even though the Country Risk Score is not outdated. This was solved and the outdated indication is no longer visible for this scenario.
- When downloading the PDF of an SOP that includes a picture, the PDF does not include the picture that was added in the SOP. This was fixed and now the picture will also be included in the downloaded SOP.
- When navigating from your tasks to an Approve lane request, in the open dialog named “Approved Lane Updated Request” the questions “Which user from your company will be responsible?” and “Who will be the freight forwarder responsible user?” even though they are required in order to Approve the request, the indication is not visible. This as fixed, and both questions have the indication “Required” now.
- When Navigating in the Temperature Graph of a lane, the labels of the graphs, were overlapping. This was fixed and now the labels are not overlapping.
- When as a responsible creating a view for a supplier, and then navigating to the Capabilities tab of the supplier, the view of your company might be showing “Reviewed” even though is still “In Progress”. This was fixed and the information of your own company's view status under capabilities is following the status of the questionnaire.
