3.6.0 Release Notes – Validaide Help Center

Introduction

With Release 3.6.0 we introduce some exciting new features, as well as various bug fixes to Validaide:

Ocean Freight enhancements
Enrichment of the SOP
See which capabilities are used in which Assessment factor
Include the weather forecast in the Lane PDF report
Several bug fixes

1. Ocean Freight enhancements

Visualization of ocean transport on Google Maps: Using an integration with SeaRoutes we can now determine the itinerary of ocean routes, including estimation of the transport duration and distance.

Inland transport by barge and rail: Users can now configure Lanes with inland transport by barge or rail, in addition to road steps. This also includes the assessment of the capabilities of inland terminals.

Container Terminal Locations: we now define Container Terminals as Locations instead of Companies in our data model. As a consequence, forwarders can now request ocean carriers for information about the capabilities of the container terminals in their network.

Updated Ocean Freight Checklist: in alignment with our Advisory Board we have made various changes to our Checklists for ocean carriers and container terminals. These updates reflect specific ocean freight capabilities and certifications.

UN/LOCODEs for port identification: we have added a database of UN/LOCODES to Validaide, which can be used to document the port at which a container terminal is located. This can then also be used to define the origin and destination port for ocean steps.

2. Enrichment of the SOP

Rich text formatting: you can now use formatting such as bold, italic and underlined text, as well as bullet and numbered lists.

Embed images: you can also embed an image (PNG, JPEG, BMP or other image file type) in Lane SOP Process Descriptions. When uploaded, the image is visible in the Process Descriptions.

3. See which capabilities are used in which Assessment factor

For the Location and Company Capabilities we indicate which capabilities are core and which are informational. We now also introduce Color coding to indicate in which risk factor a core capability is used (e.g. Temperature Exposure, Quality Management, Security). When you hover over with the mouse an explanation is shown.

4. Include the weather forecast in the Lane PDF report

In the Lane PDF Download form we added an option for Weather Forecast. If selected, the Lane PDF will include the weather forecast as shown on the Lane Weather screen (including alerts).

5. Several Bug Fixes

1. In dialog Modify Configuration for a supplier location you can remove your Company from serving Companies on Supplier Location level and the same Company Location

2. Supplier Location: Serving Companies are now shown on Market Info page Summary panel

3. The Weekly Email Report was broken as it was unable to generate an Email for a Lane Restart Task - has been fixed

4. In My Suppliers on the Capabilities Summary panel the redirect to "See more Capabilities" lead to a broken page for Tenant-Suppliers not in state "reviewed" - has been fixed

5. When adding a road step available definitions of capabilities were not shown - has been fixed

6. Modify Road Step dialog where Packaging has been changed to Reefer Container

7. DG question has been added to company office location

8. When Lane/SOP is expired and user 'restarts' Lane/SOP, RestartTasks is now cleared out
