Sending a sharing request means that you ask your supplier to provide capabilities data to you. After you press the button Validaide automatically sends out a notification to the correct person at your supplier company that you are requesting them to share their data.
When you supplier accepts your sharing request and shares their data with you, you will see their complete set of capabilities. This is more extensive than publicly available data, where only the core capabilities are visible.
Request Location Capabilities
Requesting the Location Capabilities from your supplier can be done easily in Validaide, you just have to follow below steps:
- Go to the
menu.
- Click on the supplier location name.
- Click on the
button in the upper right corner.
- Then, in the pop-up window select the supplier company. If your supplier has a Responsible person already assigned to the location, the request will be automatically sent to him/her. If there is no Responsible person selected yet by your supplier, you can select the Administrator user who you would like to send the request to. Finally confirm the action in the pop-up.
Please note that above is only possible if the supplier is already a tenant on Validaide. If this is not the case, you can invite them to join Validaide and share their capabilities with you on the platform.
Tip: In the location detail page you can also select the Data Sharing tab, where you have the Suggested Requests section. Here you see which companies you could send a request to and in what status they have the location. E.g. in case of a GHA location a forwarder can send request to the location owner and the air carriers who have added this location:

The core capabilities are publicly available. You have access to the data and you can use it. |
You can also manually select the view that you would like to use by clicking on the pencil icon on the process step and then going to the Capabilities tab.
Example:
Here you can see the following:
- Origin ground handling - Swissport / AMS location capabilities: The progress bar is not complete. Swissport's (GHA's) view is selected for the Lane Assessment. A sharing request was sent, which has also been accepted. The data is publicly available as well. However, the status of the location in Swissport's view is "In Progress", therefore the capabilities are not defined yet, which means the data is not available for you.
- Flight - Turkish air carrier company capabilities: The progress bar is not complete. Turkish's view is selected for the Lane Assessment. The data is not available publicly, therefore a sharing request has been sent. Turkish already has the data (capabilities are reviewed), but they have not accepted your request yet, so you cannot access the data yet. You are waiting for Turkish to accept the pending request.
- Destination ground handling - Turkish / IST location capabilities: The progress bar is complete. Turkish's view is selected for the Lane Assessment. The data is publicly available and it is also in reviewed status, so you have access to the data and you can use it.
Additionally, you can also send a sharing request to Turkish, so they can actively share their whole set of data with you, instead of only accessing their publicly available core capabilities.
Note: If the company whose view you selected is not a tenant yet, you cannot send a Sharing Request, but instead the Invite Company button will show and you can easily invite them to join the platform by clicking on that button.
