In Validaide, supplier capabilities can be found at two levels:

Company level: Companies that transport goods are listed under . These can be Air Carriers, Ocean Carriers, or Trucking Companies.

Location level: Locations, where goods are held or stored during the transport route, are listed under . These can be Ground Handling Locations, Port Terminals, or 3^rd party warehouses.

You can search all information available in the database under Market Info.

What if you cannot find your supplier?

Setting up your suppliers – Air, Ocean, Trucking 

To define the capabilities of your suppliers first you have to add them as suppliers.

It could be that HQ has already added some suppliers to the network. If you are responsible and reviewer for one of them, please check if they have filled in their capabilities. If not, please invite the supplier to share their capabilities (refer to: Company visible in Validaide but not yet active on the platform) or define their capabilities based on the facts known to you.

If your supplier is not yet added to your network, you can add it yourself.

To add a new supplier to your network in the menu, click on the  button and then fill in the information in the pop-up window accordingly. Please select that you want to create your own view, and select appropriate Responsible and Reviewer.

You can also add a supplier by finding a company under Market Info – and then clicking the button. This supplier will then move to the list in . Please select that you want to create your own view and select appropriate Responsible and Reviewer.

Setting up your supplier locations - third-party warehouses, GHA locations, or port terminals

To define the capabilities of your third-party supplier locations, first, you have to add them as part of your network.

Adding a new supplier location to your network can be done in three ways:

1. In the menu click on  and then fill in the information in the pop-up window accordingly. Please select that you want to create your own view, and select appropriate Responsible and Reviewer.
2. You can also add a supplier by finding a company under Market Info – , then Locations tab and clicking on .
3. Go to Market Info  → , open the location, and click on .  

If the location is not available, but the company is already in our database, you can send us a Location Request.

Note: If you already created a lane with this supplier location, it was added automatically and is available in your list.

Please note that we identify the location by the company that owns it, so in the case of an airport warehouse location, it is identified by the GHA and not by the airline (with the exception of the case when an airline does its own handling e.g. usually at their hub).
