Products
In the trade lane manager, you can find a new option called ‘Products’. Currently, this option is available for our forwarder and manufacturer users.
In this page, only tenant administrators can add and edit, duplicate or delete products. It is possible to add the following information: pharmaceutical name, brand name, product category, packaging and description.
Users with the viewer and editor access rights can only view this information. After having added the product information, in the ‘Configuration tab’ the user can define the temperature range for the product stability data. You can set the recommended storage temperature to the most used temperature ranges.
Once the product has been created, navigate to the ‘Configuration tab’ to add temperature ranges for product stability data. The recommended storage temperature is now fixed and cannot be edited. You can add the major and minor excursions. The most extreme excursions are seen as critical excursions (the coldest temperature and the warmest). These ranges will, later on, be used in lane risk assessments if a product is selected when building a lane risk assessment.
When editing product stability data, the administrator receives a notification that the edits made will affect the lane risk assessments where the product has been added.
Using product stability data in lane risk assessments
When a product has been configured, the goal is to use the product stability data in a lane risk assessment. The product functionality can be applied in a new or an existing lane. To apply it navigate to the ‘Configuration tab’ - Product information panel. The product information can be manually entered or selected from already defined products.
When selecting a product from the product list, all the information is pulled from the pre-entered product list and shown in the lane overview, so the user can only select variants. If the user selects manual as the data entry option, dangerous good info and category can be added (as is functionality). You can see the stability data in the ‘Temperature graph tab’.
If the product is being used in lanes, the product can not be deleted. When navigating to the ‘Products’ menu after selecting a product, it is clearly indicated in how many and in which lanes the product has been selected.
As this is sensitive data the visualization of product stability ranges is visible only to the owner of the lane even if the lane is being shared in Validaide platform or in a PDF export. Using product stability data allows for a more accurate temperature exposure. Temperature classification is used in the assessment itself to evaluate temperature exposure.
