Freight forwarders and Manufacturers can link their approved packaging to lane risk assessment.
To use Approved packaging in a Lane Risk Assessment, it has to be added under the "My Packaging" list.
Only a user with tenant administrator access can add, edit, or delete packaging.
It is clearly indicated if the packaging has already been added to your approved packaging list with the option “Remove”.
When creating a new lane, from the “Packaging” section, select “Defined Packaging” if you have an approved list of packaging in Validaide, and then type the name of your approved packaging.
To find your approved packaging list go to “Packaging” and then “My Packaging”.
If you do not have an approved list of packaging, you can still indicate the type of packaging that will be included in the lane. Simply select the “Manual” and indicate the packaging type and qualified duration.
You can override the Qualified Duration when adding packaging to the “My Packaging” list. This option is available to both manufacturers and forwarders. Note that overriding qualified duration is not permitted for electro-active containers and thermal blankets when adding packaging to the list.
You can modify the packaging to existing lanes by simply selecting a lane. From the Configuration tab select "Packaging Information" and add your approved package in the lane.
