There are three basic user types: Administrator, Editor, and Viewer.

The Administrator is the user who manages the account, they can modify user types and they have access to every action in Validaide. The user who first accepts the invitation to join the platform automatically becomes the Administrator. There can be multiple Administrators for a company account.
If you see the Administrator Settings in the top right corner, that means you are an Administrator.

An Editor can add (supplier) locations and suppliers, edit questionnaires, create and edit lanes & SOPs, etc. The Editor can also be assigned in any Role as Editor or Reviewer / Approver both for locations / suppliers as well as Lanes / SOPs.

A Viewer, as the name suggests, can only view information but cannot modify anything.

How to change user type between Viewer and Editor

Note: Implemented email + password authentication for Electronic Signature to meet compliance requirements. This applies to My Company, My Locations, My Suppliers, Lanes, and SOPs for the following actions: Submit, Approve, Remove, and Restart Workflow.

 

Administrators can choose if they want to enable or disable sign off with email and password. A toggle "Require email and password when signing electronic records" is in Tenant Administration Configuration Settings under the Workflow tab.
