Besides the commercial flights, it is possible to have charter flights in Validaide and create lane assessments with them.
As these are specific flights for your company, they do not appear in our flight schedule database by default, you first need to request us to add them.
How to request a flight schedule to be added?
Once the flight schedule is added to our database, you can find it in the Flight Search or you can select it as a flight step in a lane, just like you would do with any other flight.
Below you can see the difference between a charter flight (on top) and a commercial flight (on bottom) in the flight search visualization:
Please note that this charter flight is made-up for example purposes.
Highlighted in yellow you can see the additional information for charter flights:
- We show the logo of the forwarder company instead of the air carrier, to really emphasize that the flight is for that particular forwarder. Below the forwarder's logo, you can still see the airline's name.
- Next to the flight code, we indicate the name of the charter flight.
- On the left side, we add the information of which forwarder company it is chartered by. Above that you can still see the name of the airline which the flight is booked with.
Please note that the charter flight is only visible/accessible to the forwarding company that is chartering it. Other companies are not able to see it or use it to create lanes.
