In Validaide a forwarder can share their lane with you to view or even to approve.
When a Lane is created by a forwarder, it may share this with a shipper and potentially also an air carrier and 4PL. When an SOP or Lane is created by a pharmaceutical manufacturer, this can be shared with its forwarder.
Lanes and SOPs can only be shared with companies that are active tenants on the Validaide platform.
In order to do that following actions have to be carried out.
How to share a lane and how it looks when shared?
- After a company has shared a lane with you, they have to complete their internal review cycle.
Approval Workflow for Lanes and SOPs
- When the lane has been shared with you, you will receive a notification.
- Go to Lanes and select the shared lane, a shared lane is indicated with this sign
The lane can be approved only after it has been through the internal review, you will be able to see it in the Version Contol tab and in the status indicator bar. Once steps have been completed two options will appear, Approve and Reject.
When approving the lane or SOP a pop-up screen appears with a message:” Be aware that you are now signing an electronic record which is equivalent to a hand-written signature”, to notify of the use of a digital signature.
Note: When approving a lane or SOP your email and password must be entered to approve with a digital signature.
Possibility to add/ edit for manufacturers under parties' origin and destination locations in a lane owned by a forwarder.
External contributors and Approvers (manufacturer) can now have access to the Configuration tab, in which they can edit “Lane Performance”. (Can be added/edited in following statuses – in progress, internal review, external review, approved, about to expire, and expired.)
After having added the lane performance it can be viewed under the “Assessment” tab as the 6th tab is called “Lane Performance”, it plays a role in the "Pharma Index".
